| Description: |
Aliwal North, named in memory of an Ayrshire Yeomanry Trooper who died there during the Boer War, is quite a spacious apartment on the ground floor and has the great advantage of a large conservatory overlooking the garden towards the West Kyle of Bute.
The property consists of a good sized lounge, hall, bathroom, kitchen and a small bedroom with twin bunks. The bed-settee in the lounge is of high quality and is very comfortable. It's an unusual configuration but perfectly suitable for a family of four. The conservatory is also the dining room with its views over the sea.
The big garden has a magnificent monkey-puzzle tree, a fish pond and an orchard area with many fruit trees and bushes. The patio at the back door is a perfect sun trap in the afternoon, sheltered from the wind and facing west to catch the evening sun - a marvelous place for a barbecue.
It's furnished to a high standard with an attractive mahogany bookcase in the lounge and a well sorted kitchen.
